The Daily Report
Last week went off the rails a little bit, though not badly, because of some unexpected things in my life. Not badly. The fact that I had momentum means that I was able to coast a bit, even as I was losing it. This week things should be pretty much back to normal, so I'm going to work on building that momentum back up again.
As much as focusing on a few things at a time is helpful, I'm thinking about making the act of compiling e-books an ongoing process. That is, even though I'm still working on the commentary for book 2, I could be copying and formatting the chapters for book 3. The reason I'm leaning towards this is that the compilation is a task that realistically will take years, so for immediate purposes it's a never-ending stream of work. It's also something that I can do when I can't write or focus on commentary. It's a way of keeping myself busy and on task when I'm at work... I can treat it as a steady queue of things coming into my inbox.
In the extended "my working at home as a metaphor for working in an office", it's the kind of daily stuff that comes in and needs processing, that's not a priority but needs to be done.
The State of the Me
Doing okay.
Plans For Today
My focus today is going to be to set a good tone for the week, so I've put two chapter commentaries on my to-do list. I'm going to get book 3 set up. I'm going to write and post to The One Called Wander. And I'm going to write a chapter of Tales of MU.
