The Daily Report
Ah, the familiar patterns of my semi-nomadic life are always so recognizable in hindsight. This past weekend was the one where I realized that my weekends in Maryland aren't the same as my weekends in Nebraska. Even if I'd had time to button myself away somewhere and put a newsletter together, I wouldn't have had space. I need to finish it out during the week even if I mean to send it on the weekend.
Maybe if I repeated this back-and-forth enough more times I'd eventually get all of this stuff down to the point where I could adjust in advance, but the good news is that I won't have to if the moving stuff goes well. I expect that after the move there will naturally be an adjustment period where I figure out what works and what doesn't and find all the good spots to sit and write in the house (I'm going to have an office set-up, but changing positions and perspectives is part of the writing process sometimes)), but after that, I should be able to just build momentum steadily like I did during that stretch from March to May of this year.
On that note: the first week of the fundraiser closed out with $922, which is more than a third of what I need in less than an eighth of the time allotted. I'm really hopeful that we can cross the finish line before I leave Maryland (July 13th) so I can focus on preparing for the move without having to second-guess my budget.
The State of the Me
Doing pretty good.

Bonus story day!
