So, I've started The One Called Wander up again... I never meant to let it lie fallow for so long (or realized that it had been as long as it was), but part of the point of it was that I'd found low maintenance ways of updating the story and then the tools I was using kept breaking (or in the case of Tumblr, being upgraded). My back-to-basics solution of using the text memo function on my phone worked well for a while, but quickly became unwieldy due to the lack of organization ability built into the app. My new approach is writing in Documents To Go (which gives me a word count again, yay!)
The other reason I kept losing steam is the feeling that I was just shooting the story into the void. I've now learned that the story got a favorable mention on io9.com when it as newer, which would have given me a shot in the arm if I'd known it at the time.
On the subject of gaining/keeping steam... the pacing and general quality/engagingness has been off in the last few installments of the main story of Tales of MU, and it basically comes down to the fact that I lost my cushion during the con and related travels and haven't had the space to get it back. I have an idea about what to do about that, but whether I need to implement it or not will depend in part on how today and possibly tomorrow goes.
The fundraiser (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-moving-plea/x/466204) is going well. Slow and steady, mostly, with moments of punctuated equilibrium that shoot it ahead. As I've said, while the fundraiser runs until mid-August my "meta goal" for this is to have the money lined up before I leave Maryland in mid-July so I can focus entirely on cleaning and packing and arranging the move. I'm going to try to get some pictures from the house--the internet being what it is, I'm not sure I want any identifiable exterior shots out there, but since it's currently occupied by family I could possibly get some interior pictures of me in my future bedroom and work space. I'd like to do another video when we hit $1000 or maybe the halfway mark, but I'm not sure what to say/do.

Still doing well, but my quality and quantity of sleep have sort of incrementally been affected by circumstances and it's starting to tell.

Today's pretty much just a writing day.
