The Daily Report
The last chapter of MU was more "all written in one day" than I would have liked under an explicit multi-day process, Due To Circumstances. Of course, the process relies on the understanding that this will happen sometimes... with the last chapter, it was because Wednesday (which would have been the major writing day) was taken up by something else (moving my family) and I didn't feel like officially taking the day off when I had two other days (that were also given over to that which I had an external excuse for taking off.
So "one day chapters" are not ideal, but they'll happen. The chapter before that had its writing split fairly evenly between days 2 and 3, which is closer to the ideal but not quite there. If the first day is for thinking of a chapter, then the last day should be available to think better of it... if I don't regret it completely, I can still probably figure out a way to improve it.
So far I haven't done any writing on day 1, but today... with an eye towards having more ideal chapters and fewer one day ones... I'm going to start. There will be times when it takes me all day to figure out what I should be writing or come up with something usable, but it probably won't be the case most times.
The State of the Me
I was up late last night reading. There's always a bit of a chicken-or-egg thing there on whether I end up reading because of insomnia or I end up with an insomnia episode because of reading. The end results are similar.
Plans For Today
See above... going to be starting the next chapter of MU. I'm also going to be working on a newsletter to get out this week. I'd hoped to have it finished last week, but closing out the apartment was a much more all-consuming occupation than I'd expected, given we had four days for it.
