Brewing Up Trouble

alexandraerinI just posted a (sponsor-only) thing on my Patreon feed that has to do with a very brief post I made over the weekend, about a roleplaying game project that was briefly working-titled as "Trouble in Pipe Kingdom", now "Trouble in Star Kingdom". It's a simple tabletop roleplaying game based on a simple conceit: 2D sidescrolling platformer as dungeon crawling RPG, played out on sideview tile maps.
This is not quite the mammoth undertaking that A Wilder World is. In particular, it doesn't have nearly as deep character creation/customization. Actually, it doesn't have any right now, since the gimmick here is more in the system itself than in character generation. The playtesting draft of the rules comes in at just over 6,000 words and is visible to my Patreon sponsors. I'll be looking to test it sometime very soon with groups of three people at a time in a simple adventure, using Roll20's virtual tabletop (you need a Roll20 account to play, but membership is free).
The invitation for playtesting is extended to my Patreon sponsors and newsletter subscribers (information will be in the next newsletter); if too many more than 3 people express interest, I can't guarantee a spot to everyone in the sessions I run, but once I've run them, I'll be releasing the material in the same channels so that others can conduct their own playtests.
