So, I officially gave myself the time off between books of Tales of MU that I always said I would, and I think that was the right choice on several levels. I didn't do as much in terms of direct and immediate planning as I'd hoped, mainly because I found it more useful to just shut down and relax with regards to the project... but this did allow me to step outside myself and the story and think about where I've come from, where I am, and where I want to go.
On Monday I was still recovering from travel. I worked a bit, but didn't force myself to do anything. On Tuesday, yesterday, I had my best writing day in a long time. A new short-short story (about 1,500 words), and what I feel was a really good chapter of Tales of MU to start the new book.
The State of the Me
Weird start to the day involving a mental glitch that resulted in me going through the motions of getting breakfast but then not actually eating it until noon. Not a good move.
Plans For Today
I'm going to be writing all afternoon.
