Jan. 26th, 2011 12:27 amI'm beginning to think that Anatole France had it wrong when he wrote "The law, in its majestic equality, forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal their bread." Even the pose of law as something that is to be rigidly and impartially applied is something that is only adopted when it's not inconvenient for the privileged.
