Well, I have found Heinlein's door into summer... it's called "indulgent parents with a place in Florida". The first time I was here (and the last, before now) was May, when Nebraska's fairly pleasant and Florida is on its way to becoming oppressively hot and humid. Not that we didn't have a good time anyway.
I'm going to be here for a 10 day break from the cold and the snow, and while the timing has been set for months it's managed to work out pretty nicely in terms of giving me a chance to come down gently from the creative high I've been experiencing.
I really appreciate the valentines I got in my Valentinr. There were only two... I think I only posted the link once or twice, and on here so it wasn't sitting out where people would keep seeing it... but they both were very touching.
I'm not doing the whole status post today because I've already spent a few hours since I woke up re-running all the scans on my lappy and I kind of just want to get down to it.
